In the early 1700s, Alexander Pope wrote "To err is human; to forgive, divine." Yet we continue to struggle with what it means to forgive and to be forgiven. The subject of forgiveness is often complicated and ensnared in misunderstanding. In Marjorie Thompson's upcoming two-day workshop, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the nature and practice of forgiveness and learn how to cut through some of the confusion surrounding it.
"Forgiveness is a process," said Thompson, a pastor, teacher and author based in Nashville, Tennessee. "People who attend the workshop can expect to come away with fresh perspectives on forgiveness and several practical tools for engaging in the process over time. They may also discover a greater sense of hope for what is possible and a deeper desire to move toward the freedom that forgiveness brings to our spirit. There's a wonderful freedom that comes with authentic forgiveness."
